Google Maps Scraper MCP Server by G Maps Extractor gives AI agents structured access to live, publicly available Google Maps business data through the Model Context Protocol. Agents can search for businesses and places by keyword or location, inspect listing details, retrieve public reviews, and collect public business photos. Search results may include business names, categories, addresses, phone numbers, websites, ratings, review counts, coordinates, opening hours, Google Maps URLs, and other publicly available listing fields. The server is designed for workflows such as sales prospecting, local market research, competitor comparisons, customer feedback analysis, reputation monitoring, CRM enrichment, and business listing audits. It is hosted remotely, so users do not need to install a package, run a local process, or manage scraping infrastructure. The server uses Streamable HTTP and authenticates requests with a G Maps Extractor API key sent as a Bearer token. It works with MCP-compatible clients including Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Cline, MCP Inspector, and other clients that support remote Streamable HTTP servers. ## Key features - Search Google Maps businesses and places by keyword and location. - Retrieve structured business and listing details. - Collect public ratings, review text, reviewer details, and review dates. - Retrieve public business photos and image URLs. - Request extended listing details, including available emails and social profiles. - Use the service from any compatible remote MCP client. - Connect through one hosted endpoint with no local package or server deployment. - Start with available free monthly requests and upgrade for higher-volume workflows. ## MCP tools ### `search_google_maps` Search for businesses and places on Google Maps in real time. | Parameter | Type | Required | Description | | --------- | ------- | -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | `q` | string | Yes | Search query, such as `coffee shops in New York` | | `ll` | string | No | Coordinates and zoom, such as `@40.7128,-74.0060,11z` | | `hl` | string | No | Language code; defaults to `en` | | `gl` | string | No | Country code; defaults to `us` | | `page` | number | No | Page number; defaults to `1` | | `extra` | boolean | No | Include available emails, social profiles, and extended details | ### `get_place_reviews` Retrieve public reviews for a place using the `fid` returned by `search_google_maps`. | Parameter | Type | Required | Description | | ---------- | ------ | -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | `fid` | string | Yes | Google Maps feature ID returned by a search | | `page` | number | No | Page number; defaults to `1` | | `max_page` | number | No | Maximum number of pages to retrieve | | `sort_by` | number | No | `1` relevant, `2` newest, `3` highest rating, `4` lowest rating | ### `get_place_photos` Retrieve public photos for a place using the `fid` returned by `search_google_maps`. | Parameter | Type | Required | Description | | ---------- | ------ | -------- | ------------------------------------------- | | `fid` | string | Yes | Google Maps feature ID returned by a search | | `page` | number | No | Page number; defaults to `1` | | `max_page` | number | No | Maximum number of pages to retrieve | ## Common use cases - **Sales prospecting:** Build targeted lists of local businesses for research and outreach planning. - **Local market analysis:** Compare businesses, categories, ratings, review volume, and visible listing signals by location. - **Competitor research:** Review nearby competitors and identify differences in reputation or listing completeness. - **Review analysis:** Retrieve recent or low-rated reviews and summarize recurring customer feedback. - **CRM enrichment:** Add available business contact details and listing metadata to internal workflows. - **Listing audits:** Check whether locations have complete business information and sufficient visual content. ## Example prompts - “Use Google Maps Scraper MCP to find the top-rated coffee shops in Portland.
